This is a mountain trekking expedition to one of the most beautiful and pristine places left on the planet: the Cucuy National Park in the Eastern Cordillera of  the Colombian Andes.  The New York Times recently called it “South America’s undiscovered gem of mountaineering.”

After acclimatization, we will be hiking for six days at altitudes raging from 3000 meters (10,000 feet) to 5000 meters (16,500 feet), past snow covered peaks, glaciers, high altitude lakes and an unusual alpine ecosystem called páramo.  It is a strenuous trek with overnight camping along the way, but no technical climbing would be required.  We will be assisted and guided by professional local guides.  Our expedition, starting and ending in Bogota (or Bucaramanga upon request), will last 12 days.

Available year round, January and February being the best months.  For more information contact us
